🎍 A Festive New Year’s Celebratory Meal
In January 2026, we had the pleasure of preparing a festive spread for a New Year’s celebration with 10 guests.
The gathering began with otoso, spiced sake served from a beautiful Wajima-nuri lacquerware set, setting a solemn yet celebratory New Year’s tone.
The menu featured dishes fitting for a celebration, including simmered shrimp (ebi-umani) and sushi, paired with sake and champagne for the toast. It was a special occasion that balanced traditional Japanese festivity with elegance.
